Store Manager Search

You may have heard by now that Kathleen will be retiring at the end of 2020.  It’s impossible to express the value of the contributions she’s made to Single Socks, the Grant County anti-hunger movement, and our entire SW New Mexico community.  That she will be missed is an enormous understatement. Accomplished thus far to find a successor is:

  • Formed a hiring committee comprised of Single Socks board members Jennifer Lepisko, Mary Wilson, and Jeff Goin.
  • Resolved to conduct a community-wide search for a new store manager (as opposed to a more narrow search).
  • Formulated a tentative schedule for conducting a search, hiring, and training a new store manager in 2020.

Search / Hiring Timeline 2020

  • June 18 – 16: Job announcement issued, resumes accepted
  • July 21 – August 17: Conduct interviews
  • August 25: Targeted hire date
  • September 22 – December 22: Training of new store manager
  • January 5, 2021: New store manager’s first day

Updates on the search and hiring process, including instructions on the application process itself, will be found here on the Single Socks’ Website.

When the application period does begin, resumes and related materials will be submitted via the Website.
